Director: David Pitts
Co-Founder and Director of Tennis for Life, David started Tennis for Life with the vision and passion to provide everyone an opportunity to learn the sport that he grew up with and loved.
Having started tennis at the age of 5, David has played top level juniors, tournaments, pennant and seniors. He has had a vast amount of experience in coaching throughout Victoria, before launching his own business in Tennis for Life, in which he has successfully run for over 10 years.
David’s passion in tennis grows every day. He loves to pass on his knowledge to all players and standards, from beginners to advanced, and enjoys getting the most out of every individual.
A passion for Health and Physical activity, David is also a Physical Education and Health teacher, and has a range of knowledge and experience with students of all ages and standards, including disability/ special needs groups, kinder students, advanced and elite players, health and fitness squads, and adult sessions.
Head Coach: Levi Gluyas
Levi has been coaching tennis since he was 15, with 6 years experience and an Australian Accredited coach. Levi strives to get the best out of his students in a fun and friendly environment. Levi always approaches the court with a smile and with the knowledge of his current degree in Exercise Science/Teaching he makes his lessons both applicable and fun and maximizes your progress and enjoyment! Levi has played both high level juniors and pennant and has played overseas in the USA. He uses his own past experiences and knowledge to help you to learn, grow and advance your tennis career!
Head Coach: Tom Murphy
Tom has a great love and passion for tennis and loves sharing that with others. Having played the sport for much of his life at a representative level, he brings plenty of knowledge and experience to his coaching. Tom has completed his an Australian Accredited coaching course and is also currently studying a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education at Deakin University. Tom loves seeing his pupils – of all ages and standards – smile and have fun on the court all the while improving their game.
Assistant Coach: Allie Grey Smith
Allie has been coaching with Tennis for Life for many years as part of our Tennis for Life schools program and club program. A high level junior player, Allie is a passionate and engaging coach that brings a fun and positive attitude to every lesson. Allie is also the Head of PE and Health teacher at a local Secondary College.
